Per quanto concerne i tetradrammi con le altre lettere che esprimono le decine (M, N, ecc.) e le successive lettere che esprimono le centinaia (P, Σ, ecc.) faccio riferimento a una serie di tetradrammi di Sidone dove tali lettere non esprimono il numero loro assegnato nella tabella delle 27 lettere al post # 3761, ma il numero corrispondente alla rispettiva posizione che occupano nell’alfabeto greco di 24 lettere. Quindi i valori numerici corrispondenti alle lettere sono in questo caso M =12, N = 13, … Ω = 24).

Una possibile zecca della dramma precedente è quella di Bargylia, antica città dell’Asia Minore la cui principale divinità era Artemide Kindya, dal nome del veneratissimo santuario della dea nella vicina città di Kindya.

Bargylia venne utilizzata da Alessandro Magno come base per la conquista della Caria, anche perché la città era dotata di due porti, uno più profondo che poteva ospitare flotte da guerra e uno con un pescaggio minore, per le navi commerciali e da pesca. L’aumentata importanza dei traffici marittimi in età ellenistica spiega il ruolo altrettanto importante assunto da Bargylia rispetto a Kindya in questa epoca.
