Errore nella zecca finlandese

Ho letto la notizia che alla fine del 2006 la zecca finlandese ha coniato per errore 50.000 pezzi da 2 euro con la faccia nazionale del 2006 ma nel lato comune la figura dell'Europa già allargata che dovrebbe essere presente solo dal 2007.

Quindi comincia la caccia..... :D

During the last days of the year 2006, a batch of faulty two euro coins has been delivered through the production process of Mint of Finland Ltd. These coins have the national side of year 2006. The common or reverse side of the coin contains the expanded euromap taken officially into use in the beginning of 2007.

The deviation in the production has been traced by studying the bookkeeping for raw materials and tools, as well as with the help of batch follow-ups conducted by the laboratory. The occurred was discovered to be a human error in the changing of dies during the production process. The size of the deviating coin batch has been defined to 55 000 pieces, with a countervalue of 110 000 euros. The share of the deviating batch of all the two euro coins in circulation is minor.

Mint of Finland regrets this deviation in the production of two euro coins, cross-checks the production process and has taken action to regain the faulty production batch. However, according to the Bank of Finland, the fault in the coins does not affect their use as means of payment.

If desired, the coin can be exchanged to its nominal value at the customer pay desk of the Bank of Finland, address Rauhankatu 19, 00170 Helsinki. The office is open weekdays from 10 am to 12 am and 1 pm to 3 pm.

La zecca finlandese ha precisato in accordo con la Banca di Finlandia che il difetto non ne condiziona l'utilizzo.

Si ok, lo avevo letto, ma la cosa mi sembra strana: non dovrebbe intervenire la bce in questi casi?

mi ricorda un po' l'errore sulle mille lire con i confini errati, solo che i pezzi coniati allora erano talmente tanti che hanno fatto bene a lasciarli in circolazione.

comunque meglio cosi'... non si sa mai ...magari una mi capita tra le mani... ottimista eh!!! ;)

Ho appena saputo che una di queste, poco circolata, è stata venduta in un asta finlandese per 390.00 Euro.

Mi sa che si è aperta la caccia in Finlandia e qui ne vedremo ben poche :(
