Head of Athena to right, wearing a crested Attic helmet ornamented with Skylla throwing stone to right, a triple pendant earring, and a pearl necklace; in the field to right, Δ/Κ/Φ. Rev. I-HP[AKΛHIΩN] Herakles standing facing, his head and torso turned to the right, wrestling the Nemean lion attacking to left; behind, to left, club with its head below; in the upper left field, ΚΑΛ; between Herakles's legs, Athenian owl standing to right, its head facing. HN III 1377. MAST 2. 12 (this coin). McClean 824. SNG ANS 63. Van Keuren 50. An absolutely superb coin, beautifully centered, very well-struck from fresh dies, and very attractively toned.
